I kinda like the color. Is that just a primer coat and if so what is planned for the final cover?

The color is flat OD green. Its a wheeler and budget minded.
Got the shocks and lockouts on.
Drove it a little. Its sloooow. Reminds me of driving my splitty, only im pretty sure the bus was faster. :flipoff2:

Couple better pics.

Is it a stock carb? I'd almost bet that it is functioning on one barrel on that carb- The diaphragm in the secondary actuator is usually cracked / torn and seeing as its vacuum actuated it never kicks in the secondary barrel. They are still a tractor motor with or without two barrels.

yes its stock. i have no idea and have spent zero time playing with the carb.

we are throwing tune up parts at it. the dizzy advance thingy may or may not be working.

one thing at a time :)

Again nice job gnob

So we had our first tow on Tuesday. The carb decided to puke fuel. Thankfully my brother hooked up a flatbed and we were able to tow home safe.
of course when starter driving off the trailer the carb stopped puking and it fired.
we got a rebuild kit and went to town.
First thing we found was the accelerator pump was cashed. Thats where the fuel had been coming from prior.
Then as previously mentioned by kief. The secondary was not working and was in fact totally frozen. We almost had to break out a hammer.
Went back on the truck. Tweaked timing a bit and it fires right up now with minimal choke.
Made a night and day difference in drivability.
Now we need a master cylinder.

ouch.. If your guts are good then wait for craigslist or go with the Aatlas cast iron.. I went through this when I looked for a guy in Ashland. The early ones were a little weaker and they obviously used a 3 speed tranny, and 74/75 had a different spline gear that mated the 4speed with the early 3 speed case. The other option is to get a cheap 60 series 4 speed and split case and then put a the rear axle with the e-brake on the axle and modify the e-brake pull. Not simple but there are a lot more split cases around. PM me and I will give you John's number in GP, he might have a case if that is all you need.

Couple carnage pics.
My best guess is fatigue and the 37s finished it off.
