I couldn't help but notice nobody asked how it broke. Aric, how did it happen?

my best guess, is that :
A: it failed prior to us.
B : possibility of driveline binding because of axle wrap.
IDK but i would assume this is a pretty common thing because of the design. i dont think it would be near as bad with a centered rear drive like a mini case has. transfer of power from the input, across the counter to the output shafts. its just physics.
the truck never leaked a drop while parked. so the large tires and old parts is what i am going to chalk it up to. we did score an older model pto case for the replacement. i am tempted to design a "girdle" for it, to strengthen against the case killing itself again.

Sweet ride. Aric, if you want/need help designing or finalizing a design on a girdle let me know. I'm in the maufacturing/engineering program at RCC and have Solidworks 2012 loaded on my pc. I could CAD the design and run stress tests on it to find weakness and such. It'd be a fun thing to CAD just for the sake of it, even if it never comes to fruition. Let me know...D

you can put 3 speed case gears into a 4 speed case, but not vice versa.
FML.
hybrid case ready to go.
rear main and flywheel installed.
woke up this morning to some fuel on my garage floor.
got home to a lot more.
i really hope the house doesnt still smell like fuel when wifey gets home.
maybe need to score a rust free (less rusty) fuel tank.
last hacks thought fiberglass and mastic would work.................
