yeah, my kids learned a couple of new words..

Started designing the rear suspension for the 60.

The rear shackles will hit everything. And considering that I want to keep it low and not negate the bob job links were in order....

Sat and worked on the design fora while and came up with a standard wishbone 3 link.

32" lowers and 28" uppers (lowers are not triangulated)
Lowers will use a Nth degree Gyro Joint at the frame and 2x .250 wall Dom. with Bushings at the axle end.

Upper will use a ruffstuffspecialties 3 leg link frame mount with bushings and probably a 1.25" heim or 2" (or 2.5 I can't remember) Johnny joint if I can convince myself that the JJ is a good idea (I alerady have one and the reason I am not using it right now is because I hate them)

Looks like about 85% AS
69" instant center x.
20" instant center Z.

For some reason the roll center is only giving me "NaN" for an opuput. Gotta ask Traiged why that is..

The lowers will also be integrated into the skid plate/tranny mount. Ifit turns out the way it is stuck in my head. It will be :smokin:

good to see your build gathering speed again....

Any chance you got torque spec for the t-case you re-sealed. Spent the night in the shed re-sealing the ozzy and the 62 case...I dont have a manual that covers it just some haynes and some FSM but for different area and different cruisers than the 62....

shheeaaa nevermind used the search button...it works wonders you know.

Good luck on the rear set up there honcho.

got some of the link parts in opn Fri.

These are the Nth degree Gyro goints.. Pretty neat actually..

I keep thinkin that I want to do a 1/4 eliptical for the springs.. With as low as the cruiser sits fitting a coil spring in there will be tough. I'll have to offset it to either the front or the rear of the axle. kind of a PITA. If I can use these frenched spring mounts for a set of 1/4 elip springs it shoudl work very well.

Dan at ruffstuffspecialties.com makes beefy stuff..

These are his three legged link mounts. They will be going on the frame side upper links with bushings.

I think they will hold just fine :)

Mace you get that 302 running yet? Sold the Lexus Motor out of the buggy and dropping a 347 stroked SBF ford in its place.
