Pro Clip specifically for early 80 series as seen here Mounts without drilling and many miles of washboard roads and it remained intact. I mounted my mic to it so there are three extra holes. Mic clip included. $20 shipped to lower 48.

How bad was install? Thanks for the pic @Halfpint , very useful for reference. I've never been able to see one actually mounted.

A little more obtrusive than I would like (blocking the vents). Otherwise, looks like a solid option. And made in USA.
