I've heard you guys talk about the price of vacuum lines for the 2F equipment before, and I've heard suggestions about using VW fuel line as replacement vacuum line, etc. All that talk made me think the vacuum line must be awfully expensive. But yesterday I went to OReilly's and picked up some for $.39 a foot. You may consider that expensive, but I thought it was reasonable enough.

I bought the cheap stuff too (but from Advance Auto Parts). There's much better out there (silicone and the like) that can run up to $3.99 a foot. I am sure someone with more knowledge will peek in here soon enough.

OEM line is $10 per meter. I have not found anything at the parts stores that will work. Post up the size and maker so we can pick some of this .33 cent line up.

Mine is all unmarked line, but I do have the receipt at home. It has the sizes printed on it. I will try to remember to check on it and post back (IIRC it wasn't metric, but seems to be working fine).

The stuff I bought at OReilly's isn't marked but looks to be almost exactly like the OEM stuff. I can't see why it wouldn't work perfectly. I just handed them the OEM line and said I needed some like that. And for .39 a foot, you can't beat it.

I've bought 3mm ID/8mm OD silicone tube from www.mcmaster.com. Last time I checked it was about $0.60 per foot. Silicone lasts much much longer than the normal buna rubber stuff.

Crap. I forgot to look for that receipt with the sizes listed... oh well. Tomorrow.
