Price for a 1999 LC with 334K miles?

I just got my hands on a 1999 LC with 334K miles in River Rock Mica. I bought it from the 2nd owner who bought with only 44K miles on it. No rust, a good dent on passenger wheel well, no mods, front seats are in bad shape, but overall in great shape. Rides great. Timing belt was done at 295K. I'm trying to decide if I should clean it up (new mats, seat covers, etc) and sell it or just hang on to it.

What are everyone's thoughts on what it may be worth?

My daily is a 2006 LX, so I don't really need 2 of them.

One look at my driveway would reveal my opinion on keep/sell, but I “might” have a LC/LX problem…


Pre-COVID, I believe the ‘mud rule on valuation was something along the lines of:

If buying, <$5k
If selling >$25k
If dealing with an insurance company, after an accident >$35k

The market is so crazy right now I dunno. In my area maybe $6500? I saw a 99 listed for $10,000 but it only had like 170k miles.

The body work issue is going to weaken it on the retail market (one of the few things things that are not DIY friendly)....

Where did you get one for $3,500? How did you find it? Pretty sure a a flood salvaged one would go for that?

As someone in the market and have looked at every one online east of the mississippi, if it’s legit no rust… $7k fixed up 9k? How bad is the dent? Any records to support good maintenanc?
