Thats all, I was about to order the prestigious society bypass kit so i can use maps while moving. Is that still the only option for this?

What I don't understand is why the LC would be so difficult to trick regarding whether you're in Park or not... Several other vehicles I've owned could be fooled with a cheap little device that cost about $40.

Once again can't say for the 200 series, but the Tacoma I had used the same wheel speed sensor as the ABS.

The Prius guys have figured out a way to override. Also with the added possibility of having the rear view camera come on whenever the turn signal is on (helps for blindspot).

Their method cuts off the speed sense to the vehicle. This causes the GPS tracking to get screwed up until one finishes making the map input input and switching back to normal operation. I use it on my Prius

I Don't have nav in my old 2000 LX or I might buy one of the Prius units and see if I couldn't get it to work for the LC/LX.

This was my thought as well. I looked up the beat sonic and they also want $200+ dollars for their setup.

There used to be a guy in lower Kalifornistan who had these devices for $40, but I can't find his bookmark now. I'll look on an older system and see if I can find it. Here's another vendor; same stuff, same price ranges:
OEM Quality Radio and Audio Accessories | VAIS Technology

If you want to commiserate, look at lexusoverride.com; I'm not going to post the link. It depresses me.

Well i ordered the prestigious society one...They all seem the same price and everyone seems to like that one. Thanks for all the input.

I just got one too. I had a little time yesterday and was planning to install it, then I read through the instructions and promptly put it back in the box. Gonna have to block off a larger window of time. Install is going to take longer than I anticipated. I hate dealing with interior trim pieces. Not looking forward to this.
