Just busted through my second tow strap. Any one have a particular durable tow strap that they prefer?

Check out the Winching & Recovery section.

;)

I understand. This is a vehicle-specific section. Go to the Winching & Recovery section and search there. You'll likely find what you need.

I have the bushranger snatch strap as well as a generic heavy duty tow rope kept as a spare or for towing broke down vehicles.

As well a kinetic rope such as the bubba rope or master pull mainly used for bogged down vehicles, which feels like it takes a load of stress off the vehicle when snatching.

Did you check the ratings on your tow straps? Try to get the ones rated for 12,000lbs or higher.

The tow straps that i broke were both rated for 18,000 lbs. Both of them broke pulling out logs/stumps from the yard. It seems like the same rated tow strap can range from $20 to $80 depending on the brand

I wondering if the bigger/heavier 200 series cruisers need a substantially bigger tow strap than my previous toyotas

Aha then moving "immobile" objects you should probably steer clear away from any kinetic/stretchy rope as they'll probably stretch out then just snap. With tree stumps do you pit tension on the rope then gradually accelerate or do you drive off and try to yank it out?

This will solve your problem real easy
