I had incorrectly stated that the lx is at jacksonville dealers. It was serviced at the above noted dealers.Orange park Lexus, but you have to check them all
If not used off road or in dusty conditions or pulling a trailer or heavy load it’s not on any of the maintenance intervals I would think 60,000 would be a normal time to change for one of us on mud that were freaks about maintenanceI am going to apologize in advance for asking a dumb question but what mileage/time interval is transfer case, and differential oil changed? I have read that the ahc fluids were flushed was changed at 60,000 miles at a lexus dealership.
I'd add my own oil to top it off at this point. I don't want to call someone on the carpet and then entrust my engine to them.
Also, check for any hairline cracks on the top of the radiator around the square where the part number is stamped. Many a tech is unaware that these are a weak spot. Being a 2013 the radiator is most likely still in good shape though.
Thank you very much for the heads up on the radiator. I will have salesman take a photo of the radiator and text it to me. I am assuming you can easily see once you open the hood.
Odds are you are good to go with a 2013 but TexAZ has a good pic of the hairline crack that leads up to the failure in this thread.
I took the shrouds off of my LX the day I bought it but IIRC the rad is hidden underneath.
So, the service tech at the mercedes/bmw dealership who changed the oil stated they will add additional quart of oil The oil spec is Ow20, bmw twin power. Does that mobil one make the bmw twin power.
Careful, you don't want the twin power in the vvt-i.
It is spec at 0w20 and full synthetic. can you please elaborate on why? I am not trying to argumentative but trying to learn on why.
