As some of you know the buried power lines to my shop died while we were getting ready for the Alaskan trip and I have been operating on a generator since then. Well I got a power pole set closer to the shop and am now ready to run buried cable 160 ft. from the pole to the shop . I have a trencher rented for Saturday,11 Oct. Anyone like to come help, I'll provide the  and buy lunch?

Roger,
Sorry but Saturday is booked with soccer. Will you charge ahead solo?

Roger,
How did it go? Was the trencher up to the task?

I got the trenching done today, will lay cable tomorrow.

I hope that means the majority of the work is behind you now. Will there be any additional follow-on work efforts to prep the shop for full use again?

I am putting the cable in conduit this time so I have a full days work left. The shop just needs a good clean-up.

This sounds like a good idea for a shop day because it would go faster with an ample supply of hands. Plus, it would be an appropriate way of saying thanks when you have opened your shop and tools to others.

The lights now work in the shop with out the noisy tractor. Much of what I have to do in the shop is sort through the piles of junk and decide what to keep.

I bet there are a few folks that would like to help with that!:flamingo:
