I've read WAY too many PBB posts on this and never read the same answer twice...

I've always run a stock GM canned-ham or remote res with the stock vented cap. I just upgraded to a monster SpeedwayMotors remote reservoir, and it's cap is sealed....

nothing fancy in the system...stock AutoZone pump, WTOR tweaks, single pass cooler, hydro assist ram, etc....

Is venting the system required or not? If yes, then I'll tap the cap and run a vent line in with the rad overflow tank....

any concensus?

If you run it non vented you can't fill it all the way since liquid will not compress, so you must leave an air pocket for expansion.......I would try it like this, and if it pukes vent it.
Does this bling reservoir have a fill line?

I talked to Sean Stapley (Station on POR) about this. He said is was not an issue to have a non vented full hydo system. I've been running this way and so far no problems. The only issue I have is some PS fluid that leaks down the Appleton remote reservoir.

Woody, do you have pics of your remote reservoir? I would like to have additional PS fluild capacity.
