Afternoon All,

Looking to replace what I believe is the return line for my power steering reservoir. Looking at the parts diagram it is not labeled and the hose is so worn I cannot see any identifiable information on it anymore.

I’ve attached the diagram and circled the hose in question. If the hose is a general hose does anyone know the Internal Diameter? General diameter of the hose? Pressure rating of the hose? Or hose type?

Thanks in advance.

You can use 3/8 power steering hose, the stock hose is 10mm and the gates 3/8 I use is 9.5m. It’s a tight fit but works just fine. Use a heat gun or torch and heat up the hose end a bit use a little power steering fluid or brake clean for lube and slide it on. The OEM clamps won’t work so you either need 14mm constant torque clamps from whoever (I use bell metric) or worm drive from the hardware store.

This is what I usually buy cheeper than the stores. 25’ should last you a long time. If that hose is going bad safe to assume all you other power steering hoses and close to the end of there life.
Thank you. Apologies if this question has been asked before. I searched the forum but google led me to a power steering convo buried in this forum. The part number provided has long expired hence me asking here.

@WMan84
The part number, 44420-60220, was superseded by 44420-60221. It is in stock in dealer warehouses in the US. Unless you are in dire need, I'd recommend you email Dave Stedman at Japan4x4; he'll get a better price than the US dealers for you.

Thank you. I contacted Dave to strike up convo about parts acquisition. The P/N you provided is to the entire assembly so I may source a hose locally or see if my local shop will just give me a spare hose they had laying around the shop.

I realize that. Dave can get a piece of metric hose from a parts store, if that's all you want, however, if that hose is degraded, the other end is likely in the same shape.

If the government in Canada would get it's head out of it's fourth point of contact, we could buy metric hose from them. The Canadian parts stores, not the government.

Makes sense. Appreciate the contact. Ive got a laundry list of maintenance to address. Looking to knock things out in groups.
