Power steering Q's 60 vs IFS Mini box

What's the differences between a 60 box, and a IFS Mini box??? Can I use the ifs mini box on my 40, and mount it like the 60 box??

Will it be strong enough to run 33's w/ sag pump??

thanks
Ryan

You'll be sorry running the toy box w/35's. Go Sag and forget about it.

IIRC the ifs box turns backwards compared to the 60 box that is why everyone goes with 60 series box. I did the 60 ps swap a year ago with 33s and it is a dream to drive on and off road. I'm running 37s on my 62 ( essentially the same set up as a 60) with no problems. Do the 60 box, you'll be happy. I think most people suggest not going any bigger than 33s with the straight axle mini boxes, but I believe the limitation has more to do with keeping the 40 steering components than the box and pump. Couple good threads about the 60 conversion in the FAQs.

62 box is the best option better gear ratio I believe but don't use the Toyota pump they suck.

60 box is a dream on and off road. Running 33s now and others in my club rum 35s with that box all are happy.
