Does anyone have a guide on how to install a power steering pump? Mine is leaking from the front where the pulley is so I ordered a one but wanted to make sure there isn't some sort of trick to installing. I searched but couldn't find anything for the FJ62. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

step 6 says to use a SST. this is a toyota special tool. Not many of use use SSTs. Prob get by with a line wrench.

Any chance the nut on the pulley is counter threaded? I just spent all day trying to get it off. Left it soaking in penetrating liquid for now.

Counter clockwise to remove. Use an impact if the pump is off. If the pump is still attached, tighten the belt, then try.
