Did a quick search through the 100-series forum and I'm not seeing a bunch of info on the power steering pump. As of this morning, my power steering pump started sounding like an old Ford PS pump, and by the time I got to work I've got fluid dripping. Not sure if a simple re-seal would be sufficient or if I need to replace the entire pump just yet, but I figured I would get a new OEM pump to have on-hand before tearing down the original.

Either way, quick search on partsouk and the p/n I'm coming up with appears to be 44320-60320, but 44320-60310 also appears to be for 100-series LC up to 2002 production. Having a 2001 model year LX, I'm not entirely sure which p/n would be correct and figured someone here could either tell me where on mine to look for a p/n, or point me toward which is the correct one (or if they're interchangeable, as the difference in cost is not negligible).

Guess as long as I'm tearing into the front end though, I might as well go ahead and do the steering rack since mine's been leaking... so much for this being cheaper to drive than a payment on a newer car...

I would say add a new power steering reservoir on your list to ensure your steering system is all new and doesn’t recirculate sediments that may be at the bottom of your reservoir. I recently did a baseline on a 2000 YM 100 series and owner opted for an amazon alternative and no issues at all but time will be the judge of how long it will last. The typical fail point is the seal, so get yourself new OEM seals as aftermarket PS pumps either don’t usually include those seals and/or wouldn’t trust the seals that comes with the pump.

Well, if I'm replacing the pump, I want to go OEM... I guess I could get an auto parts store reman special along with a set of seals from toyota and just rebuild the original, my concern is that I get into it and find there's some kind of damage that's not easily repairable.

Either way, not driving it until it's fixed, I guess I can start pulling parts off this weekend and see what's what. I have a strong feeling that I have a blockage somewhere in the system that was restricting fluid flow and allowing excessive pressure somewhere in the system until a seal gave out, but I guess we'll see once I can actually put eyes on parts.
