I own a 2008 model 200 series and I am experiencing a really weird intermittent loss of power for a few seconds mostly when the vehicle has come to a stop and then in the move off motion power is substantially lost for a few seconds and then immediately returns to normal operation and power. The vehicle can go four days without this occurring and then when least expected it does it I have a reasonably powerful commercial analytic tool, which shows no faults registered I am pretty much at my wits end as to what could be causing this and would be grateful if anybody on here has heard of this problem or experienced it in themselves and resolved the issue. Thank you.

When you say power loss do you mean electricals going off? Radio restarting?

Chassis mileage? On top of maintenance?

Without any codes I’m usually inclined to think fuel system.. our fuel pump going out isn’t unheard of. Or fuel pump ECU, though that is somewhat correlated to corrosion. Neither of those are guaranteed to throw a code.

Agreed with @nwfl4runner . It would help us help you if you give us more clarity as to what you mean by power loss. Electrical, acceleration, etc.

Early suspicions, I tend to agree with @bloc this is fueling. Fuel pump or fuel driver and it's not uncommon on early 200-series.

How many miles on your 2008?

What about the possibility of a faulty TCI sensor or map sensor?
