Trying to help remote diagnose a power locks issue on my pop's cruiser, seeing if the 80 series forum can help!!

Dad's got a 1994 FZJ80 he's starting driving again recently, bone stock. He's noticed the power door lock function (either by the button on the inside driver door or from turning the key in the driver door, will NOT lock the rear hatch. I can not remember if this is normal or if the rear hatch should lock along with everything else (my guess is that it SHOULD lock with the whole car).

The rear wiper IS functioning so I'm less skeptical that there is a large airgap on the harness but perhaps there is a relay fuse for that actuator? Rear hatch lock can actuate with the key so it doesn't seem to be bound up. Thoughts??

THANKS ALL IN ADVANCE!!

Lock/unlock controls all 5 motors from 1991-1997.
The hatch lock motor power goes through 3 connections. While they are the same for the rear wiper, they are different pins.
You should be able to monitor the voltage to the motor, just realize that the polarity flips between lock and unlock.
