This is my first time, hopefully I did not mess this up!

I have a BJ40 which is in great shape and I started a frame off restoration. I can get powdercoating done at a good price. Has anyone powdercoated a body? What are the pros and cons. My goal is to restore my rig so I can get another 30 years of use out of it, not to make it a show vehicle. I understand you cannot have any fillers.

There was a blue one on ebay about a year ago that had the frame and body powder coated. Looked nice. The only problem I could see would be body repair in the future. That and having to completely strip the body to put it in the oven.

There was a powdercoated red body on so ago for sale. I would have given my eye teeth for it and I think he only wanted 1200 but would not ship it. True, repairs would suck but rust would be abatted if it was prepped well. I love powder coating. I have been doing my truck a bit at a time as I also have a cheap source. CHeck out the work in my sig line for the stuff I have had done.
