I am thinking of buying a badly rusted 1978 for a few parts I could use on my project. It would only be worth while if I can sell some of the stuff I don't need. The body is shot. the frame rusted but may be able to be repaired. The only things I can see that may be worth something are running engine, cab guard, glass and five 16 inch split rims. Anything else that somebody may be interested in?
I would be keeping the roof, engine crank, seat belts, spare tire carrier and sunvisors.

Put me down for the complete 3-point seat belt harnesses with brackets, retractors, and hardware.

If it has the Canadian airflow vents in the rear cab sides, I would like those complete also--inner and outer.

Sorry Bear, should have put in what I would be keeping.
Seat belts, Roof, spare tire carrier, visors, engine crank.
I've never seen one with the air flow vents but unless they are out of sight between the cab and the box it does not have them

I'd be interested in the head-ache rack, License plate bracket & back hardtop glass assuming it is the same as a 66 (I'll have to look tomorrow)

I don't need it as I was able to find one local but the spare tire carrier is a upgrade over what came on the earlier trucks imported to the US. Even if the winch part is rusted up if the main bracket is still solid a winch from a 55 or 60 series could be used a possibly one from a 80 series but never checked that.

I would be interested in the rear view mirror. And possibly wiring including the rear tail light loom. Wiper motor cover too. Probably cost to much to ship but if the interior door panels are in descent shape those are worth saving. Probably a bunch of other stuff as well.

Thought 78 had the rear vents in the cab. But this one doesn't. For reference this cab is off a 79 or 80 FJ45 out of Canada. Not mine but someone I know.

Not sure on the mirror or how good the wiper motor cover is yet. Tail light wiring and door panels are shot though, and definatley no cab vents on it. The only thing that I see that is different from my 77 is it has side window defroster vents.
Nice looking 45 in the pic. Another one that's got me drooling all over my key board!!

I'd be up for the front bed wall if it's straight and not totally rotted.
.....and that spare carrier @Living in the Past mentioned. I would guess any surviving pieces of the bed are worth something to somebody.

Thanks to every one that has posted. I'm not ignoring everybody, just trying to make arrangements to pick it up and get a better look at things. If the verdict is to part it out it would be a while before I could start stripping parts off for those that posted though.

Thanks

If the rear tail light connectors aren't dry rotted away I would be interested in them for my 78'.

So I have brought this rig home and checked it over more closely. The only things that I would be willing to part with at the moment are the cab guard and the 16 Inch split rims. Anything else would be the pieces left over after I have finnished my project. The cost of shipping from here also probably makes it a no go for a lot if it as well. Thanks all.

It is better than the one in my project so I may use it. I'll let you know if I don't.

What about the whole rig?
PM me.
I'll need to keep it, thanks though

Don't forget me on drivers side rear glass if you part her out. Thanks.
I'll let you know if I don't need it.

Most of the wiring in this thing has been butchered, especially the rear.

.

Shipping would be tough on the headache rack. Coming to Utah anytime soon? :D:D
