I do recall I jammed something between the two switches, and wrapped a ziptie around the pair to compress them together, against the spacer thing. (I think it was a piece of rubber or something similar)
Good to know, thanks!

You could always go with an Spod and not have to mount any switches... only 1 small touch screen!

I found the Apollointech Left Side A-Piller 4-Switch Pod & Source Control system custom fit for the Jeep Wrangler on Amazon... I've got the switch mounted and Lance at Iron Pig Offroad made a bracket to mount the relay in the engine compartment. Still need to run wiring through the firewall but this is right in my wheel house ... Plug and Play for $130.00

Can you post a photo from the driver's seat? Also, are the switch lights a distraction at night?

As part of the installation of a new head unit I wanted a switch to simulate the parking brake for programming and reverse so I could have a rear view in the screen even if I was going forward. I found an Australian hazard and center lock switch panel and put it in the blank panel to the right of the HVAC controls.

I found this spot next to the AHC controls be ideal for three light switches. Plenty of depth below this cover for wiring the back of the switches. And the cover comes off easily if needed. IMO easier to get to than the overhead console or cutting out steel support for the telescopic steering wheel. OTRATTW Contura V switches and panel.

I really like that spot! If there was a way to disconnect the SPod switch bank into two separate sets of 3 I would totally do that.

We need a write up on how to wire up a factory switch. ;<)

I'm only like 4 months late to this...but here's a 2-part how-to for the factory switch. It's by a member here.... @RobRed I think?

@90WT how did you deal with the metal frame behind the cover?
