He's kinda like a dog. I took him offroading once in my old Tacoma. He did so/so.

ok, this isn't a good pic but it's the only one I have. Unfortunately he passed away before we got to take very many trips in the 80. This one was taken shortly after I purchased it. (I have a ton of him in my 40 and 60 though :D)

Jp in Pismo

Here's the ol' girl in Pismo waiting to get out and chomp a seagull....she never actually caught any at the old age of 14. but boy, back in the day!

I miss her somethin fierce.

The best was when she'd lean into the corners, I have some more I'll have to dig up of her in Tahoe too.

Tonight I had to say goodbye to my mate of 14 years. Sam the red kelpie was the very best of all possible dogs. He loved us unconditionally and was faithful to the end. At home he would always position himself between us and the front door so he could keep an eye on us, In the car he would ride shotgun with his chin rested on the dash and his nose pressed against the base of the windscreen. He probably imagined himself running at warp speed. He would catch a tennis ball on one bounce without fail, it never touched the ground a second time before he had it. He always knew if you were upset and a paw on the chest below a stare into his big brown eyes was all it took to cheer you up. Quickly followed by a kiss on the face. For 14 or so years he was my companion, our protector, my partner on road trips, a part of our little ohana. He will be forever missed by us, our lives are far better for having him along. Rest in peace now little mate.

I am not sure if this one has been done or not. But, I thought it would be good idea to see what type of dogs we have. I have a GSD. He is 11 months old. I have a lower ramp for him that extends out the back gate. It helps him get in&out of my LC given I am running 38s. He is already 80lbs.:)

My pics will follow, as soon as I reduced them in size for posting.
Living with my maxxer boy is the only way to stay sain.

So I have a Black Lab 9 Months old. I want to go wheeling and he's okay in the rig going flat and smooth but haven't had him in the truck climbing rocks and bouncing around. Do you guys take your dogs when climbing and how do you secure him/her while bouncing around so he/she doesn't fly all around the cabin?

The "barka lounger" bed shown above with bolters was a big confidence booster for my guy. If hes going airborne id say your going too fast. Secure the cargo well and give him a soft spot to nestle into and he should be fine. Depending on terrain ill let him out to run for the rougher stuff.

If you have the second row seats installed you could try the hammock style seat cover with a bungee leash to headrest if he needs the extra restraint.

This is Coco. I "rescued" her from a dope house. The first pic is about two minutes after I "rescued". She was covered in sh!t and piss. Smelled awful. Had horrible flea bites all over her belly. It was so sad. After I "rescued" her she took off running to my 93 and tried to jump in the passenger window. I opened the door and she sat down right away. I got in and she laid her head on my lap the whole ride home.

This pic is later that day. After we bathed her and rubbed her belly with coconut oil. We took another ride in the 93 with my son.

This is her that night. I hadn't planned on keeping her. Just "rescuing" her until we could find her a good home. She said "don't bother. I already found one!"

Took Coco with to pick up my new to me 93 motor that I'm going to rebuild for my 93 that has 337k on it and developed a knock a couple of weeks ago.

At the beginning of the day she was pretty excited.

She agrees that 93-97 seats are uncomfortable compared to 91-92. She chose the sleep platform and my parka.

The 93 motor with, allegedly, 153k on it that I rescued from a similar fate as Coco. She's going to get some love and rebuilt to go in my 93.

Hard day of work for her. Or a belly full of bacon jerky.

Sorry to hear about your loss! It's crazy how dogs bring out the best in us, even more so when you can share experiences with them like you did!

Been rebuilding the engine since October. Finally done. Rufus is driving and Mikko (neighbors dog who I dubbed "Kitty") ready for the wind blowing in their jawls. Let the spit fly!
