LuckyPighead checking in. From Sacramento this time. Left Medford at 9 or 10 (got lost in Medford looking for I5...) and got in to Sac just in time for the rush hour.
I had picked up a couple powersteering belts at the same napa where we got Sue's knucklestud nut. Put one on there and it worked all the way home.
This was the first trip of any length since I got the 37s, and the 4.88s, and a well-balanced driveshaft...'Cruised easily at 2800 RPM (63.1 MPH according to the cheat sheet I taped by the tach...) occasionally took it up to 3K or 3100 (70ish!) as I approached hills.
Actually, there was a hill on the drive from GP to Medford, where a little red foreign POS was trying to pass me and there was a truck up ahead of me that I did not want to slow down for. So I put the hammer down, out-accelerated the red POS, and was able to pull in ahead of it to pass the truck. On an up-hill... I was very pleased.
I'll tell you guys, that is a cute little trail you got there, and a fabulous campground, and a top-10 worldwide swimming hole (the far one). That was one swell run, and it wasn't just the winch (TYVM though). There are several runs that I just will not miss: Rubithon, Surf&turf, Georg's 45 run...I think McGrew just made my list.

Thanks again,
Pighead

Glad you made it LPH :D and safely back home. Hope to see you again.

I hear there is going to be a Birfield Party in East Medford the Friday/Saturday/Sunday (6th/7th/8th) of August...see you there?

Yes, this is a for sure thing happening @ 2320 Parkhill Place. Plenty of beer and pizza for all that show up. Need to redue both birfield, front axle.

Hi Sue,

Got your phone message about the birf party. Unfortunately I'll be out of town, so won't be able to make it. :frown:

Cheers all,

Curtis
