And thanks for the warm welcome :D

Well, it is a 1985, about to turn over 200K miles. Has the Weber 38 DGES carb on in. I think it needs a tune up badly. Kind of hard to start when warm, starts almost instantly when totally cold though. The kicker is I filled it up in Baton Rouge when I bought it, filled it up just now when I got home and on the 31"bfgs I am only making 9 1/2 mpg. Might be slightly better because it looks like the fuel guage is sitting closer to the full mark than the initial fill, first time was at about 7/8 of a tank indicated, second fill was barely a hair off the full mark. will have to see over a few tanks what it averages out too.

Haven't crawled under it to see, but what ever muffler it has on it sounds damn good. going to take my airfilter adapter off my 4runner and put it on here so I can run a 10" air cleaner from what I was reading in the 40s section here on mud the little rectangle air filter is too small for the 2f and hurts the power and mileage. either way I already have the addaptor so all it will cost me to try it is a new airfilter.

As far as future plans go, wanting to do a SOA and tires in the 35" range I really like these http://simpletire.com/sigma-9.00-16lt-nr50-tires but my only experience running a bias ply tire was with my SX's on my 4runner and that was BAD experience. Probably just end up with some BFG km2's

Engine wise I am really wanting to swap a diesel into it, and a transmission with an overdrive. Been looking at a few builds where they swapped in the 6.2 gm diesel, heavier than the 2f, but slightly more power and even people running turbos on them are claiming low 20s for mpg. Kicking my self now because a few weeks ago I saw a 6.5td with an NV4500 sell for about 1500 dollars.

More realistically though I was hoping to talk to paul about putting TBI on it, the parts I would need, and all that fun stuff.

Was just talking to Rebecca about it I told her you picked up a clean 60 today and she says I know I wrote the insurance on it LOL. We were talking about the Hagerty classic car insurance if you kept it near stock to most folks that wouldn't know any better you'd qualify :)
