Possible to turn off avatars next to thread titles?

It's a neat idea, but makes it very cluttered, especially on a smaller screen. Is there a way to turn off other users avatars next to thread titles?

Not a changeable option...but if it wasn't the small avatar, it would a similar sized icon.


And if you rotate you screen, it takes up less space

i vote for a similar sized consistent icon. avatars = too much colour and information.
