Hey everyone,

I have a 2006 LX470 (with the LED taillights) and I wanted to know if it would be possible to switch over to this style of taillights:

If so, if anyone wants to swap with me let me know, mine are in great shape and we can exchange photos if you're interested.

Thanks,

Zach

Let's see your tail lights. I don't know if I've ever seen LED tail lights, unless you mean normal tail lights that have had the bulbs swapped out with LED bulbs.

Update for anyone interested.

The 2003-2005 housings are a direct swap (this is widely known). The wiring is also almost a direct swap. For the outer lights, as long as you buy the 2003-2005 wiring harness that goes from the body harness to the housings, everything is plug and play. Brake light, running tail light, and blinker work perfectly. For the inner lights, from 2003-2005 there is no intermediate harness. Instead, it's just a lightbulb holder/connector.

The 2007 body harness is a 3-wire connector. The 2003 connector that fits right in is also a dual signal connector (meaning you should use 7443 bulbs). The only weird part is that the non-constant signal is not the brake signal, its the turn signal. So the inner housings on the tailgate aren't brake lights, but rather tail lights and then turn signal lights with the second filament. A little quirky but no warnings on the dash for a bulb out.

Overall, I swapped because I prefer the look and period-correctness of the 2003-2005 housings. I also prefer being able to just swap a bulb out if needed, especially because at least one of the LED housings is NLA. Very happy with everything.
