Well I went up to See my brother this weekend, Big Jeep juy. Turns out he went to an oil field company on a job and scored an 8274 winch and a box full of spare parts. for 50 bucks.

I now have a winch woo hoo. I need to change over some of the brake parts from a spare he gave me. clean everything, Get a controler, and the plastic box which covers the solinoids. and some other little odds and ends. I also got a roller fairlead and a mounting box. Whatta guy.

Flippin sweet.

Anyone interested in possibly rebuilding a few parts of an old Warn?

I got the bikini top installed last night. Tail gate piece bolted in and rear plate installed.

Hey,

I hapeen to have a old warn 8274 in storage too. I need new oil seals in the bottom of mine. I took it all a part and put it togother to find out it leaks. I also need a new set of springs on the clutch side. It's a pretty straight forward job the type of work you are talking about. I think it would make a cool project i could bring mine along if we wanted to have 2 to mess with.

we're done with "Martys Projects" but my 8274 needs some lovin too.

Marty, I might need you to take a few pics for me of the front of yours. i need to see specifically where the wires go to on the solinoids., It would involve pulling the plastic piece where the remote comes in and either labeling or documenting how its wired in.

I will try and help, I need to replace those wires myself. Warn has some exploded views on their site.

I have the exploded views. I just need to know where the wires from the plastic housing that covers the solinoids go.

(It looks like there are three of them)

So, when are we gathering?

Soon, very soon, we are going to have a NEO gathering. I just bought a new house with a kick ass garage. We have some good wheeling nearby (Wellsville) and the weather is getting better by the minute (except for tonight....snow... ).

I am free the following weekends: April 22nd, April 29th, May 6th, and May 13th.

Later gents.

Im pretty open, NEO is closer to me...

I'm pretty much out for the next month or 2, I've gotta get my house fixed up and buy a bigger one and have a baby in August. If we get something scheduled I will do my best to make it, even in NEO.

Someone pick a date and we can have a winch party in NEO.

Oh yeah Back two steps on the seats. The cradle fits in fine. Only problem is the driver seat is way way too high. and I sprung a leak in the gas tank moving it around with the cradle. Got some patch on it will see. But I think I am back to square one with mounting the MF'N seats.
