Alright, I've searched here and consulted the FSM's and no findy. So..my question is, does the pigtail lead from the Pos. battery post simply plug into the fusible link or must the fusible link also be replaced when replacing the battery cables? Any ideas??

You mean when replacing the big cable to the starter? I don't know what the stock battery cable connection on the battery looks like but you don't have to replace the fuseable link when you replace the cable. You can make it work. I have aftermarkert connectors and just stick all the lead together and tighten it down.

Cut the FL wire out of the old batt cable, add a ring terminal to the end of it(and extend the length of it IF necessary), and attach it to the new batt term clamp in the normal fashion. I actually did this when I changed batt cables.

Thanks guys! That's what I was thinking of doing, crimp and solder on a ring terminal and add a mastic shrink sleeve for good measure.
