Looking for some suggestions of a shop who performs high quality work in Portland, OR? Need them to install my suspension. Since I usually do all of my own work.. it is hard to let go and have someone else do it. Can you say "anal" about how things are done! So a great shop recommendation would be appreciated.

My problem with the suspension install is should I do it.. I would not be able to get it out of my garage / shop after the install. Can't do it outside as my driveway and apron all have a pretty good slope. Last but not least the concrete surface is aggregate rock. Absolutely would be necessary to take a bottle of Advil each time I went to work on it as an old body part coming into contact with that surface would not be comfortable even with mats down!!

MetalTech in Newberg or Land Cruiser Specialties in Oregon City

I've taken rigs to Northwest Land Cruisers before with good luck. Landcruiser NW Portland, Or 503-224-5115

Nice guys, responded via email, very helpful. They worked on my old FJ62 when I still owned it.

I used to work on my cruiser in my apartment single car garage...on 40's with 7" lift coils. No reason you can't accomplish this either. You get a 4 pack of good ratchet straps and air down your tires to next to nothing. Since you're just installing. The lift this only needs done at the end. You just sit down leaving slightly more air in your fronts for ease of steering and you put ratchet straps around your axle at each corner and attach the opposite end to the frame, pull out the slack and ratchet them side to side until it's low enough to get out of the garage. I have done it dozens of times. I had to take off the factory luggage rack and rails to get it in my garage lol. Point is that if you want to do it yourself and gain some tools versus taking it in and paying a bunch of money and gaining only the lift then you have this as an option. Check out my 3-link thread, page 3 post #49 for the picture proof of it being possible at 7" lift on 40's if you need inspiration.
