On amazon for $30, I know it's only 6A but the quick change guard makes it a buy for me for a quality mid-range cut off tool.

Camelx3 says lowest it's ever been was $26 so I decided not to play the algorithm game and grab one.

I buy 3-5 of them at a time. I use them for my finish grinders and use the Makita 5" for my grunt work.

Both are very good grinders for the $$

Thanks for advice, I've put that Makita on my list after my HF clone dies.
Amazingly it is still taking my abuse after 8 months and I think I've ran it for 30 minutes straight on more occasions than I have finger thumbs and toes using both a heavy cupped wheel and a stone.

I might have to head to lowes to grab another then, it's better than I expected for the money, very chunky and well built compared to the HF.

even though none of my grinders are the type, I do think that a paddle switch makes a lot of sense and I may just have to fork the extra $ for my next one.
Unfortunately, none of mine seems to want to die. I should not have greased the damn things...

I'm not a big paddle switch fan, I have the middle of the line HF that has one and I've relegated it to a cupped wire wheel brush for duty, that it's OK with but for a cut off wheel I prefer the switch.
