Pop Up Ad on screen

For the last few months while on Mud (using Mozilla Firefox browser) and from my PC I've been getting a new tab opening up ie: from a new web address not just a banner ad. Often something like browserupdate.org or getsoftfree.com. Don't know if this is related to the Mud web site or a security hole in Mozilla or ??. Anyone else seeing new tabs open up spontaneously?

not on on my home computer much anymore (windows xp), but today it was really f'n annoying. covered up the first thread in my subscribed so i couldn't click on it, looked like this on the first page. ih8annoyingads . using crashzilla since google supports so many anti ohv groups...oh, and chrome keeps crashing on my phone so i've learned it may not be so much better than crashzilla

Yep. Candy Crush was killing it on my iPhone today... Every time I clicked on a link in an email and it would take me to Safari. I wouldn't be on the thread for more than 10-15 seconds and would be redirected to the app store trying to get me to buy Candy Crush. Happened about 5 times today. Extremely annoying.

I hate chasing an issue I cannot duplicate.

Yep...pop up is back with a venegeance...started two days ago...from iPad...and clicking on "X" won't close it either. But it's inconsistent...I can't figure out its trip wire...

Alright. Here's some more data for you.
I'm in front of my laptop AND iPhone. I just got the alert that spressomon replied. I clicked the link in the email. No pop ups on my laptop, because my ads are local ads, using Chrome browser. Clicked the link on my iPhone. Payed attention to the ad on the bottom of the screen. Refreshed a couple of times getting new "mobile" ads unlike the laptop getting "local" ads. The only one redirecting me is the Candy Crush ad. and it does it within 10 seconds of loading the banner.

Today I have been getting a pop up on my iPad for King Fish Casino, same as the small banner at the top, next o the ih8mud.com icon, it has a yahoo.com URL, I don't know how to screen copy on an iPad... However it lets you cancel or accept, I'm trying to get it to pop up again, but it's not cooperating.
However it stops all page unloading until you click either button on the pop up.

This is how I have been surfing MUD lately. The pop up jams Safari up and I have to restart it every time I click on a page.

I hope the next update will solve this.

I need a URL...with 14m ad impressions served a month, there is ZERO way to "guess" which advertiser/network might be the issue.

I wish I had a URL. It was a big white box, like those "you must register to see" boxes. There was no content.
