I got my V8 up and running recently and it's running very poorly. It stumbles only around the 1600-1800 RPM range and after that accelerates nicely. I was hoping someone in this forum might be able to help. I ensured all vacuum connections were tight, timing is set at 10 degrees BTDC, and the idle mixture screws seem to be set properly. Has anyone experienced this problem before? Could it be because of a faulty vacuum advance? Are there any special linkages I may be missing (I can include a pic if necessary). Should the initial timing be higher or lower? Any and all advice would be helpful !

thanks,
Kevin

Nevermind guys, I completely replaced the carb with a carb by buddy had and it works great... time for a !
