They do fit using only the stuff in the box, but don't pretend you are going to use stock grills. I decided trying to find a spot to flush mount the tweeter was more hassle than it is worth (I was going to go for the front pillars but there is too much electrical run up them to drill in there), so I surface mounted them with enough room to use the door handle but not so far forward that they block the window switches. I really like the spot they are in more than I thought I would.
The door panel just barely isn't flush. It is not worth trying to make it flush though, IMHO, because you cannot visually tell it is not, and you can easily seal the small gap.
The sound is significantly better and I'm only powering it with my Eclipse AVN5510 at this point. Crossover is velcroed to the outer door skin almost at the bottom; it was one of the few places it would fit and clear the window.
I'm not too into the bling grill and may try to modify it without the spokes (I'm not worried about damaging the woofer... honestly how often do you whack it) or find a more understated one.
