Pointless to buy another "Pleather" seat, how much it will cost to re-cover them (SLC Utah)

Resurrecting this thread... any updates on the Lseat covers? I'd love to see some installs (tgmiller77 and lbridges were the only ones I've sean), especially how they look if a steamer is used during install.

Thanks!

I did mine this past weekend with Lseat covers. I used a steamer to rejuvenate the foam cushions. Looks very good for 300 bucks. I also had experience installing oem lexus seat covers on various other lexus so take that into account.

I'm considering leatherseats.com. They are more expensive but you can also get the second & third row seat covers if they are needed. I need front & second row myself.

@ton504 those look great! Which gray did you get, and how close do you feel that it matches the other rows?

Dim grey looks to be a great match. The grain/texture is different and this could just be that way for now since its new unlike the worn oem leather.

I was going to do a write up but was too lazy to stop and take pictures lol. Maybe when I do my 80.

That looks closer than I thought it would be. Maybe one of these days someone will send them 2nd and 3rd rows for patterns. I'd do it if I didn't need both of those rows for kid-hauling. If you can't do a write-up, do you have any tips to get the install looking as good as you did?

Dim grey from lseat.com is almost a perfect match for Lexus OEM grey leather. I just finished up the installation last night and I'm thrilled with the results, especially for $300. They look similar to the pics above. will post pics later here and in the lseat thread.

Wow, good work ton504. Can you describe the steaming technique in more detail?

Kinger, looking forward to seeing your work too.

How much time would you guys estimate a first-time upholstery guy would need to do both front seats? I'm handy with a wrench but have never done any leather work.

Wow those look fantastic for 300!

So I see there were no head rest holes, did you punch them?

Wonder what color matches the tan in my 2000 LC.

Do you have an LC or LX? And does anyone know, is the gray the same between the two?
