Funny memory...
I have an Earth Day memory.
1990. I was in Air Assault School. The middle weekend was a big Earth Day thing on the Mall in DC. I did not go but a bunch of guys from the Third Infantry who were in my class went (those are the ceremonial guys from Arlington National Cemetery - The Old Guard). Anyway. One guy was AWOL on Monday. Dude was last seen with a mostly empty half rack of Busch Light on his chest laying in the grass on the National Mall saying something about peace and love. Apparently he got blue falconned but good. Never seen again by me
