I came across this 1998 cruiser with a plexiglass top for sale. Has anyone else seen or done this?

I'm a state over from you and saw that one on Marketplace as well. Looks like a good candidate for a pop top camper to be added on. Shame, too- truck looked OK until I saw it had been can-opener'd.

I think someone else posted about this one recently, unless there are two for sale out there. Was that you @wrigh003?

The roof is structural. I’ll bet that truck vibrates like a caffeinated toddler.

Nope- not me. I could see it being the right jumping off point for the right person... but there's like 3-4 of that "right person" around. 🫥

Somebody buy it and make a LC popemobile or something.

I agree, CampTeq candidate for sure, I can't imagine that's structurally sound although if it was done by a shop with considerably experience in this type of stuff, I guess it's possible. I wouldn't buy it to leave it as is, but if you'd consider a CampTeq or AluCab or Wasatch (brand new) conversion, then it would be a perfect candidate.

If you go check it out in person, please post detailed photos, this sounds like a one of a kind!!!

haha yesss finally some pictures...someone did indeed post about this recently and was considering buying it but bailed. Doesn't it have like really high mileage too, something like 500k miles for $5k if I recall.

**** yeah buy it and have some fun

I've seen the same one on marketplace, I assumed it once had a topper that was removed. Otherwise it seems like a lot of work for more light.

IIRC the guy selling it said the PO had cut the roof out for a retractable rag top, but then was removed and the plexi glass installed
