Im posting here instead of the main board.

It is time for the legislature to be notified of a socially outdated series of penalties. It is in no means a proposal to decriminalize marijuana, merely one to lessen penalties.

Feel free to discuss.

Pothead

If Question one passes then the drug dealers won't have to pay income tax on Question2.

If question 3 passes, I will have more money to spend on pot instead of losing at the track.

Its a good thing. :)

If question 1 passes, anyone who owns a house won't be able to afford pot or gambling since the property taxes will double or triple.

Then you can grow your own pot. Doesnt cost any more than growing a garden.

Either way, entrusting my money to the state has proven to be a worthless enterprise.
They will take it one way or another and waste it.

I'm with you. People are getting locked up for small amounts of pot, and murderers, molesters, etc. are getting released early to make room for them. .

True but all the weight of the cuts will fall on homeowners so people that rent will get a free pass on taxes. Anyone that owns a home is screwed. My property taxes are $6650 per year already. i guarantee they'll be over $10K if this passes.

But think of all of the money you could save during large sale transactions.

I did vote yes on Q1, but am doubtful it will pass. If the money hadnt been so poorly managed thus far, I would have voted to keep things the same.
Either way, the state will get what they want. Kind of like when your right arm gets tired, you switch to the left.

It may feel different, but you have the same result.

We'll see. Each nudge gets me closer to moving out of this state.

taxes are 48% in australia and they really kill you on drug charges

if it passes im buying stock in cheetos:D

Q2 passed. Smoke em if you got em!

It passed, but we'll see if the government (Of the people and for the people BTW..) responds in kind.

Now comes the sabre rattling from the State House. I'm sure the slippery slope card will get thrown around.

I forgot how much an ounce actually is. a 1/4 bag is a good chunk. might have to make an investment. haven't bought in 10 years

I guess question 3 passed as well. I don't like dog racing myself, but there goes more jobs...

Betting on dogs is tough cuz half the time they wipe out in the first turn or get bumped to the outside. Horses are the way to go. They'll put casinos in where those tracks are anyway

Raynham-Taunton was banking on getting the video slots last year. Who knows if that will ever happen...
