I've searched but can't find exactly the answer. I'm wiring up some KC fog lights on my bumper.

1. The main power wire that goes to the positive terminal...what's the best way to hook it on.

2. What's a good chasis ground to hook the main ground on?

3. The other set of wires runs inside to the switch. I've hooked up the switch wires, but the instructions say to run the other end of the white wire to a battery or 12 volt source...am I supposed to run that end all the way back out to the battery? So then I would have two wires connected to the positive battery terminal? I want these to be hooked up independently of my headlights. i just want to turn them on/off without the high/low beams. Please help soon, I want to get these done before dark! Thanks

If it were me I would fuse a wire at the battery and run it to the switch then to the lights. Unless you are using a relay to turn the lights on. If thats the case i would run from the battery to the switch then to the coil on the relay then i would fuse anoth wire and run it to the contact on the relay then to the light

Stop now! Get a relay. And do the job right. Lightforce Off-Road Lights Install and Review has a good diagram of how to use a relay. You can get power for your switch from the fuse box rather than running it all the way back to the battery. The amount of amps the fuse draws when using a relay is minimal. In this diagram they show drawing power from your high beam switch. You probably don't want that as you would have to have your high beams on for the lights to work. You could use your cig. lighter or radio power to power the switch. There are advantages to using a power source that switches on and off with the ignition as then you won't forget to turn them off when you shut the truck down. On my 100 I have the power coming off the parking lights. So I have to at least have my parking lights on to get power to the driving lights switch.

The relays are pretty cheap I think i paid like 3.00 for the ones for my H.L harness. Got the at my local electronics store. Just
Ake sure that the coil is 12 volts and the contacts are rated for the draw of the light.

got em installed and they look goood! Thanks, I used the cig lighter hot wire as my 12v source. My lights came with relays.
