Has anyone bought a variety kit off Amazon or anyplace else of various plastic trim fasteners that seems to work well for Toyotas?

I looked on Amazon and saw the kit below, it seems to cover a lot of bases but any time I buy something like this there are a few pieces I can actually use and I end up pushing a bunch of crap around for the rest of my life because well, that's how I tick. LOL

Amazon kit

To those of you that routinely have your plastic pieces off for power/ stereo, whatever upgrades you are honing did you get a supply of plastic fasteners, if so what did you have good luck with?

I broke a clip putting the door panel back on my Tacoma after replacing a window track and door check after the NM wind ripped the door out of my hand and hyperxtended the hinges. I will also be doing mods on the LC and will undoubtedly want/need to replace clips. Instead of heading to the dealer/Lowes to get 1 or two at a time it would be nice to have a supply on hand.

Thanks!

I've found most of the aftermarket clips I've purchased on Amazon are poor quality, so I keep on returning to original equipment parts (I try to keep extras of the more common ones on hand). Then again, maybe I'm just OCD, and for some people a generic fastener would be fine. The price is certainly a lot more attractive.

I bought one of the aftermarket multi kits for toyota/lexus and ran into same issue @CharlieS mentioned. I've used a few of them, but they generally are single use. Once you try to remove them they nearly invariably break. Luckily they are cheap, but I'd say if you have a project planned, I'd order some OEM. Unless someone knows of some closer to OEM aftermarket options.

I have used a couple of different varieties from amazon and none of them lasted long. They mostly became brittle and broke. I am now using these which seem to be at least a little better quality than the others I have tried. To be fair though, I only use them for the engine bay covers. I am not sure how suitable they are for other locations.

They are not like OEM in that they are not "push button", but they hold well and release easily with a pry tool:

Amazon product ASIN B07JPH95VF
I probably remove mine more than the average person since I have my engine cover on and have to remove it to air up.

Thanks for the replies. I’ll avoid the Amazon stuff and just get them at the dealer. They are pretty cheap from what I have seen online.

They are the sort of parts that you keep a list of and then add them on another order from the dealer to save on shipping.

Compared to past vehicles I’ve broken remarkably few clips on my 200.. I think toyota is figuring out how to make them last longer.

Also this.

Some of us have access to parts programs so if anyone needs help finding a part number post a picture and exact location to the board and we can usually dig up the number pretty quick.
