I'm planning on mounting a small filter system to the wall where my welder and plasma cutter stay. Hypertherm recommends a 3 stage filter system consisting of a water and particle filter, oil filter, and oil vapor filter. Is there a good place in town to find these filters? Praxair sold me a set of small water collectors, but thats all they had. I'd like to find some filters that I can attatch to the wall, and then run a small hose to the plasma. That way theres no stress on the back inlet of the plasma from a line of filters hanging off it.

maybe graingers has some filters? we get their catalog at work and it seems to have just about everything one could or would ever want for work/industrial related stuff. maybe to look in there and get some part numbers to compare prices?

I'll have to try Grainger, that will give me a chance to talk to them about compressors too. I went to sears and they didnt have any filters from what I could see. Hypertherm want around 185 for their filter kit!

They do seem to have cut back on local inventory but most things can be in the store by the next day.
I use them a lot because they are just across the parking lot from work and we have an open account.

Matt,

If you need/want a Grainger's catalog (LA sized phonebook) I can bring one up with me next time. We got like 10 extra ones at work. We also have an account there, well, the school district does. But, it allows me to go in and buy stuff with a credit card or cash with our discount.

As for the Sears comment, I have had it with Sears/Craftsman products. Took 5 ratchets in to get replaced, they said they would 'refurbish' them for me. Last time I had a ratchet let go I took it in and they just replaced with one off the shelf. Took them almost 3 weeks to get them done. I don't remember Sears being like this before. I think it is time to get some better quality tools where the dealer/store doesn't give you a hassle when you bring them in when they break/go bad. Rant over

I know its off topic, But Jon your 100% correct. Sears seems to have lost interest in caring about the Craftsman customers.
