Figured Id post in hardcore.

Im looking to replace my 37" km2's on the 60 and go up to a 39.5. I have a buddy who runs a shop and he can get me a set of 5 pitbull rocker bias tires for a very decent price. Anyone around here have any experience with these tires?

I mainly run trails which consist of mud and rock but do take it to work and drive it around town once in a while. They would see occasional hwy use as well.

I had my heart set on iroks but with questionable availability and an almost 1500$ price difference...............

Yeah yeah....

How do you like the iroks?

They arent bad, they dont want to stick to the DC-1 alloys under 15 PSI, and they dont come with alot of tread factory, they dont do an incredible job of sticking to ice, and they needed alot of weight to balance them out. But holy cow, they arent shy of greasy mud or ruts, they throw mud like crazy. Havent had them in much rocky terrain but ive heard they are good for that as well.

One of the other members in our club has the radials, and loves em, they might be a better choice over the bias plys.

the 39" Pitbull Rockers are like 20" wide....ridiculous...

I have a set of 37" Rockers and love them...currently in storage tho....running a set of 39" Pitbull Maddogs and am an even bigger fan of those...better rock tire (despite the name) and a 'more normal' 14.5 wide. Put the Maddogs thru their paces in SoDak, 60 miles to the trail head in my FJ40, followed by one of the hardest trails there (Capt Crunch) and then a 60 mile drive home...I've got 2 years on them, and wheel a LOT....and they've survived well (lotsa scars, but no 'real' damage)

I like the Pitbulls so much, I run a set on my RZR too ;)

I'd put a set of Growlers on my 80, but they aren't making a 315 radial yet...

i have the 37x13.5x17 rockers and love them. no complaints off road and they actually do very well on road. not sure if all of them come this way but mine had balancing patches in them. i mounted them myself with no wheel weights or other balancing and they ride great even at 70 on the highway.

I have 37's on my 4 Runner and love them. I used to run GY MT/R's and they where crap compared to the Rockers. I wish the 39's were more in line width wise with the other Rockers, because I would run those as my next set of tires. If I can find a decent set of used 42" Rockers that is what I will be going with when I throw the 1 tons under the 4 Runner.

Yeah, the width is kind of overkill Id say. My buddy got the 35's and they look like big doughnuts on his heap.

Meh, Ive got all winter to find something since its in storage....
