So I am having a little paint thrown on my truck and the people doing it surprised me with pin stripes. I really can't decide if I like them or not, so thought I would put it to a vote.

A - Keep them as is
B - Keep the lines all the way up to the front fender before they curve, basically just the back 3/4 of the truck, the straight part
C - Get rid of it all together

That is the best, most beautiful color the FJ60 came in. It's absolutely stunning. And by coincidence, I have an FJ60 in that same exact color!

I like the pinstripes. I would add another strip that follows the bottom lines of the truck where it goes around the fender vent. Make it option D.

The stripe looks cool. Very distinctive. I vote keep it.

Another vote for pinstripes. Keep them as is.

I really like the pinstripes against that blue color. I think because my truck is so dark I would like black stripes much better, don't think I'm sold on the white.

I vote keep em'. Mine are in the same location. It accents the unique FJ-60 fenders.

personally i think it looks sick! thats a nice ride, what size tires u got on there?

indeed

Thanks for the compliments. The tires are 33 9.50's, I'll be going with 33 10.50's soon. Few more a little more up close. Unfortunately I just don't think I can get past them. Kind of looks like an amputee without the mirrors on.

My stripes are pretty faded.

I'm not a fan of pinstripes, maybe from growing up in the 70's or something.

When I saw the title I thought the thread was going to be about Nevada Pin-striping, the kind you get from driving through sagebrush.

Keep! I am going to have my original dealer-applied stripes recreated when I have my truck painted (if that ever happens).

I've gotta tell you the truth, I was not expecting this overwhelming response to keep them. I haven't seen the truck, and I've been told they are beige and not white. Either way, I think my mind is made up to remove them. I guess I just wanted to see if my thoughts are right or not and it appears that most would agree that they are not. Pinstriping just seems so 70's to me, I love the lines of the cruiser but not necessarily accentuating them. Maybe when I see it in person I will feel differently. I think the guy thought it would tie in my brown interior better, which maybe it will, but it just doesn't look right to me. Beige and gray just don't seem like a good match to me and I understand my interior is brown but you don't see that till you get in. My wife tends to laugh at my color matching abilities when I dress though, so I'm sure my opinion is not the popular one.

While we're on the subject of paint and such, you may notice in the first picture that the paint around my rear windows is coming off. I don't think I can paint those areas and match the rest of the faded paint around the windows. Should I just peel off all the paint around the windows that's still there and rattle can it all black again? Any input would be great.

This forum is always great for random thoughts on your topic, so any input is welcome.
