Blue Bacon...
Keep going.

nice work. that one little blue patch was beginning to look like the USDA Grade A stamp on beef and PORK. however, in this case, i think it would have been a prime cut.

you have to keep that thing.

Pig paint is really getting there, Paside and back done, dside nees one more coat. Then jsut the front fenders left for blue.

Hood and roof in white should go quickly as I'm using a brush instead of spray cans. Very happy with the way it looks.

Then just masking of the door handles and repainting in satin black.

I'll still need to go through with a brush and a can of blue and redo the interior as the PO's camo job was maddeningly thorough.

I was happy to see that a light coat of Zipstrip brought the outside mirrors back to stock chrome. :)

if the weather of decent I should be able to drive it later this week and burn off the rest of this tank of gas so I can drop it and patch the leak.

pics please.......

great work. anxious to see it. the prep work is 90% of the time for the whole paint job, interior especially

well taping and masking off is considered prep work so I assume you have done that. I too want to see picktures
Jason

Taping is what I meant. Time consuming but faster than pulling glass out.

Best part about rattle can jobs is you can easily go back and fix spots when you're bored, re-spray it, and it instantly looks like nothing ever happened.

Gotta keep the pig.......

PICS!

I think it actually looks better in person. :) There's an uneveness in the gloss of the spray paint but I think that will even out with some time and a few washes. I got the first coat of white brushed on the roof as well. Really quite happy with it, as is the boy obviously. :)

Need to get a second coat on the roof, paint the windshield surround and hood white. The fenders still need to be painted blue. Hopefully have it done by the end of the holiday weekend.

Do a second coat.....you'll be glad you did. It'll even out the spray a bit.

Looks great!!!!!!

Anyone have a suggestion/source for a cheap, stout rear bumper? Nothing fancy, just need it to be strong and have a 2" receiver in it (preferably). I'd like to be able to tow a small pop up or utility trailer with it.

Why do you need a bumper when you have a tail.

I have some 2x4 rectangular tube 1/4 inch wall makes nice bumpers
receiver no problem
like the pink

Got the first coat on the front fenders last night.

Waiting to hear back again from the Craigslist Tahoe Seats ad. Took the truck for a quick spin last night and it was nice. Some comfy seats would make a HUGE difference in my enjoyment of the rig for sure.
