Well, I've got some details and touch ups to do still but here she is! My wife got out her art brushes and did a stellar job on the letters in the back.

Looks great Dave!
Want to paint the 4Runner for me?

my wife keeps saying how great she thinks it looks. That's a big win. :) We're taking it to work on Monday. Need to run this gas out of it so I can drop the tank and repair it before the 20th.

took the family for their first ride today. :) :)

And they said "we love it, please never think about getting another rig"

I have that same speech taped to my fridge.

drove in to work today in it with the wife, had a bit of a whoooaaahhh moment when I lost brake pedal, It's fine if I give it a little pump so my guess is air in the lines, time to bleed!

Should be pretty close to empty by the time I get home so I can start the gas tank project and get it done in time for the 20th.

Decided to have a local garage run through the brakes and make sure everything is adjusted and bleed properly.... the number of issues are just too many for me to risk it with my limited knowledge....

1. Pedal doesn't have any effect until it's 2/3 down then it's very sharp.
2. A couple of times yesterday I lost pedal and had to pump it up. Unfortunately because of #1 you don't realize you have no pedal until way late in the process.
3. Dives to the right under hard braking.

It's all new calipers and rotors up front, and the rears were in great shape and adjusted correctly to the best of my knowledge. I just don't know enough about brake systems to get it all set up properly I guess. Not something I want to "experiment" with so I'll let the local garage run through it.

Get it back from the shop yet?

Goes in Monday. Then I'll have Tues.-Sat. to get the fuel tank ready for the trail cut on Sunday. :)

Discovered 1 reason it rides like a buckboard last night, the tires were all at 40psi. I lowered them to 30, that should take some of the shake out of it.

The Craigslist guy never got back to me about those Tahoe seats. :(

Dropped off the truck last night, called this morning about 10am to make sure they found the key and he said it's all done, no other details. Will pick it up tonight and get the details on what they did. :)

Dropping 10 psi out of the tires (from 40 to 30) made a noticeable difference on the ride to the garage last night. My shackle angles are close to vertical though and I'm sure that's not helping.

Will start dropping the gas tank for patching tonight, hoping that goes smoothly. The bolts looked to be in ok shape {fingers crossed}.
