Hey all,
I have searched and come up short. I am looking for a picture of a Wilco Hitchgate with a 1up bike rack attached. I am specifically looking to understand how it impacts the departure angle.

Also, I am not sure which of the Wilco hitchgates is the correct match for the GX460.

Bonus points if you also have a picture with the Rigd Ultraswing Short with a 1up bike rack attached.

I currently have a RakAttach but it sits so far away from the end of the truck that the departure angle is truly hosed, and I doubt I could go up most anything with and angle. (I might know of a RakAttach for sale soon in Los Angeles if someone is intereste.)

Thanks
Dazed

I ran the Wilco tire carrier for maybe six months in 2019/2020. I was scraping it all the time on, totally kills any departure angles. First I changed the GX hitch to a 4Runner hitch. This brought the swingout a little closer and higher. It still stuck out too much for my liking, and when the JW door mount came out I installed that. If I were to do it again, I would buy the Rigd because it fits a closer than the Wilco.

These are the only pics I have. The pic in front of the garage is the Wilco with the factory hitch.
The pics with the 1up rack are with the 4Runner hitch.

Thanks! Which Wilco hitch is that do you recall? Looks like it might be the Solo Standard. And yeah, that departure angle still sucks.
The Rigd is quite a bit more expensive than the Wilco, so I am hesitant. Also, my spare tire fits in the OEM spot so I don’t need the tire carrier. I’m considering making a plate so that I can use my old Trasharoo.

Another thought, is there a reason a new hole can not be drilled in the tube on the swing away carrier so that it could be pushed closer to the vehicle? Assuming the new hole is, say at least half an ID (preferably a full ID) away from the other hole(s).

That DOES stick obtrusively out from the rear door.
It really would have helped if they moved it a little closer AND tilted the spare to be at the same angle as the barn door for aesthetics.
