Had a great time today folks... It was great seeing the familiar and new faces alike and we had a strong showing for the club. I think the safety/inspection went well and both groups had a great time. The weather left us alone for the most part save a few scattered and brief showers. Let us know how Sunday treated ya.

 to Ramon for spanking kodak

The first ledge on Daniel has become more dug out and I think tougher than the second...

Brian's first time off-roading, literally. Yes, we are brutal, taking him up Daniel in his FJ40 w/o power steering, stock gearing and all-terrains. Brian passed the initiation with flying colors...

Here are some of the ones that I took as well. Not as many good ones as I thought. Ohh well.

Had a great time, good showing of the club as well. Greg - thanks for putting the laminated maps together, very nice and handy.

Guys, hope everyone had a good time this weekend, we couldn't of faired better weather based on a predicted forecast. We had 17 trucks in all and I think everyone got a pretty good chance to see the trails in URE. The pics look great, it was nice for once to sit back and watch everyone and enjoy just tagging along. Thanks Brian and Jerry.

For a first timer Brian did a fantastic job covering Daniel. Not an easy feat for a open/open, mildly liffted truck, but Brian showed how it could be done, hopefully we have enlarged that comfort zone for him....I guess it he doesn't show up to the next meeting then we'll know we took him down the wrong trail on his first experience

uwharrie

This the 2nd time in a row my co-pilot has slept all the was home, so i am going to take that as, Garrett had a great time. It was fun to see everyone again and meet some new friends. Looking forward to the next trip.

That 2nd pic is awesome Eric! I had to look at it twice before I noticed Brians monster wheel stand.

Great pics, keep them coming for us that had to work.

I agree and want to see more. On this trip, I'd guess that there were more cameras than rigs...

Wow! good eyes stephen, just noticed that.

Thanks for pointing that out, great eyes and great shot. Who knew all that was going on behind everyone's back...

Awesome pics guys! Sorry I missed it.

Awesome pictures! Wish I could have been there! I might hit URE during the week this week if anyone is interested!

I had a blast. It is hard to believe that after 2 1/2 years of having that 80 and fixing many many things I finally got to do a real wheeling trip on it. All i've done before this was some back roads in Cali, Pismo beach and OBX.

I was happy as hell my open/open rig made it up the ledge.... I would have tried a bit of Kodak but my steering was giving me problems.
Yeah I played chicken with a tree and neither of us moved :grinpimp:
Got a little body damage as my driver front fender popped out from above the slider.

My steering seemed fine yesterday though but i'll be checking it out when I get the time. We had quite a bit of rain on the second day which made Falls Dam a bit more interesting for Ken, Clint and I before we called it a day.
