Finally getting around to posting up a few pics of the FJ60 I picked up a couple of weeks ago. Got it off the Forum from a fellow Mudder in Texas. Totally stock with the exception of the front and rear bumper. Only 2 fully documented owners prior to myself. New suspension lift kit is in transit and the paint booth has been scheduled for the end of August. Will post up as she progresses. Ed

absolutely love it man. Would love to add a 60/62 to the garage one day.

Thanks Eric. I see you and I have traveled about the same path with having a 40 and an 80. I'm pretty excited about getting started on the 60 now.

A very nice find.

Paint booth?
I bet you can put some elbow grease with some rubbing compound on that paint and make it look like a new paint job from the looks of the paint thats on it already.

Roof and tailgate looks to have heavy oxidation from the pics

If that were the case, I'd be out there rubbing right now;) because I'm sticking with the factory color. Pictures can be a little deceiving and Al is absolutely right about the top and the tailgate being oxidized. About half the paint is all the way gone on the top, but I knew all that when I bought it, so the paint job was planned from the outset. Ed

Nice looking rig. It looks pretty clean from the photos.

Looks good! I would like to get a 60 or 62 someday.

Thanks. Pics aren't deceiving there; it is definitely a clean rig. And the interior is immaculate; only a small tear on the side of the driver's seat.

Very nice! Gotta love a clean '60.

Got the 60 back from the paint shop this week. Some of the maintenance done before she went in included: new rotors, discs, tie rod, tie rod ends, oil pan gasket, rear main seal, radiator-recored, upper and lower radiator hoses, heater coil hoses, intake air hose, fan clutch, thermostat and thermostat housing hoses, lifter plate cover gasket, distributor o-ring, oil filter housing gasket, oil cooler o-ring and hoses, rebuild trunnions, transmission and transfer case-all new seals including input and output shaft on transfer case, clutch pilot bearings and front pinion seal. Also installed an OME deluxe medium 2.5" suspension kit and put on 33" KM2's. She drives like a dream and not a leak to be found (knock on wood). Still deciding what type of bumpers and sliders I'm going to use, but here's how she looks thus far:

Very nice looking 60 there.

Nothing bad about a cruiser leaking a bit though, just reminding you its there, and to drive it more.

Ed, that looks fantastic! enjoy the ride.

You're not going to use the ARB that came with it?

If you aren't using it I think I know a man that will buy it off of you.

Looks great I love that color on a 60, Let me know when you guys need help putting a lift on or when you start looking for tires.
