I promised these a little while ago. 3/8" plexiglass block with 3m double sided in between. You use with rolls of sandpaper that makes an excellent flat board. I hope this helps those planning or in this stage of painting.

I've even seen "top guys" use a stack of paint stir-sticks glued together. As long as it is flat - and the shape is what you need, rock -n-roll.

I do like the idea of plexiglass however - there is a wee-bit of flex to it. Cool!

There is next to no flex. I got this from a firefighter who's second job is building custom cars for people. It does a fantastic job to make things flat.
