Ehh I need to update that, what it should have read was "someone wont let me yet" haha. I cant friggin' wait though, I never get time away from a desk anymore to wrench but now I at least have a solid excuse! 2000 you might have caught me, my t-bars actually dont come in until next week, but I figure I'll get everything started this weekend, and throw the bars and tires on when they come in then...

What I'm the big bag? Kinda obvious. But I want to ask anyways.

Whatever you do....dont lift it without the ome tbars, and jab on your brakes. You'll find yourself thumping ( literally) to you tire shop.

nice scepter water can too. You need to clean that garage, its worse then mine! You should be able to get all that stuff done in one day, the bumper doesnt take much, just need a second strong hand to help hold it in position.

the ARB bumper.

I'd like to do a arb upfront. Mine has seen it's better days. But I'm waiting to really bang it up. There's some paint on the lower half, and it's pretty chipped on the front.

I'll get to it one year.....

can't wait to see your 100 with it on.

Which model arb is it? Please don't say 98-02!

:bang:no excuse i know... and the can leaks, if you know anything about them and where I can get a new O ring pm my ass!

The PO of mine did a number on the bumper, I didnt know what to make of it, everything was perfect but it looked like she went hitting shopping carts for fun in her spare time. As for the ARB, all I can say is thank god for IH8MUD. With out you guys I would have assumed I had no option but to get the 98-02, but 03+ it is!

I just need to pick up some new cutting wheels for the grinder. One interesting note though, in the instructions it shows cutting off the mount exactly as others on here have described and pictured. So my question is: why if you have to cut off the bottom of the mounts on both models to fit anyways, why do they still have the older one? I was a little puzzled...

So does mine, mine didnt come with an O-Ring, wtf right? My fuel ones have em, but the water doesnt.

There was a discussion on this I believe last year. ARB said something about....something. I forget, either way it didnt spook me at all enough to get the proper bumper for my year. There was a guy from the PNW that built his 100 for safari "looks" that was hellbent on not deviating from what ARB said.

The shape of the front grille is different for '98-02 and '03+ trucks. The bar is cut to match that contour. So you'll have a gap. But it's not that big of a deal, and certainly doesn't affect functionality.

Ok I'll buy that answer. I suppose if it bothered someone that much its time for an updated grill. I started the ARB this morning, took the old stuff off, sorted bolts and what not. I'm taking a long lunch and trying to get it on today.

It's easy to do with one person, but certainly easier with two. I've put mine on twice by myself, once new and once to install the winch. Just hang it on the cradle, snug up the 6 bolts that attach the bar to the cradle and then tap into place with a rubber mallet. Don't forget to lock it in place by drilling the two tabs at the bottom. Someone here didn't and shortly thereafter they were wondering why their bar had vibrated out of position and they had great big gaps between it and the body.

arb on

Ok after who knows how many hours and 3 days the bumper is on. I'm pretty picky so the most time consuming part was get the bumper perfectly even on both sides with tie down straps for leverage(and of course a couple hands from my brother). Getting the wiring up to par with solder and loom took a while too. But here it is...

I'm pretty sure your fender and bumper will be hitting, didnt leave enough room. Other then that Looks GOOD! I stuffed my plate in the winch area, but I know how much of a stickler VA cops are.

Just curious: Why the 03+? Whats better about it?

$hit son, Its perfectly level to the little nipple bumper thingys on both sides and the way its bolted up and how tight all the bolts are there is no way in hell its going to hit!! But thanks for saying that, now I have to watch it.

Well most will say there is more clearance under the wings(which is true), also you can wire the fog lights into the factory swith, which I did(you cant get fogs on the 99-02 bumper). But to be completely honest it just looks I'd say 10 times cooler.... Maybe more
