I have been wanting a M416 trailer for years and just wouldnt spend the coin. I dont need one at all. But anyway been wanting one. One of my neighbors is in to military vehicles and has one sitting in his front yard for about a year. Im guessing from the 1950s. He was outside Thursday and I stopped and asked where the best place to find one might be. He says to me "well a guy just tried to sell me another the other day for $400.: Really? Around here? He says yes about 2 miles up the road. I go that evening after work. No one home. Dont want to nose around with no one there. Go back today. Husband not home. Wife says, well if he does have one its down there in that lean to next to the barn.

Here she is in her new home

Now the first question. What do I need to do to get the lights to work with a 12 volt? Should I cut the harness and just get a regular trailer harness to add back? I feel like I got an awesome deal here.

Man somedays you're the windshield and somedays you're the bug .

Today you are the windshield , that was a great buy . Looks pretty solid , them ole trailer's are getting hard to find .

Yes! No tailgate hacked into it. At first, I wasn't sure, so relieved to see it still has all its cojones as a 1/4 ton.

Not that I'm saying you shouldn't put a tailgate in it if that's what you really want. Just do it right or leave it solid for your children...:p

Now this is a score Good show, and have fun of course as with all WE need photos as U build it.. LOL

Looks about the same as my M416 picked for the same. I switched the lenses on mine to ones know as Goma Goat lenses. I switched bulbs to a 8 watt and 25 watt 12 volt. I made a cord that had a four pin standard trailer plug on one and the other end I used military plugs. I plugged those into the junction at the front. This way I didn't cut any wiring on the trailer. I may have used two plugs for the tail lights and plugged it into the blackout light circuit for the license plate light.
