What a Jack...:o

He was a scared Jack when I showed up at his door at midnight last night. I was lucky that I got my money back. Its sad but it is very hard to trust people.

I ran the VIN on Toyotacare.com when I got home and sure enough it was in the system. I was able to find out where he lived by the emissions paper work that he had done. The truck had CA tags on it.

when I click the link, it goes to Domain Market.com. Nothing about Toyotacare there....????

Its Toyota.com You then have to log into the owners section it is called Toyota care. It will let you add vehicles by VIN. When you do that all of the factory service records for that vehicle willl come up.

At that vintage, condition is more important than mileage. Go back and offer him $3k for it.

I believe I know the owner of this rig, it would be a good buy if you can swing it:

1996 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ80

He's a Slee whore, so there's plenty of valuable but unneeded junk you can resell.

When people wont meet you at their house that raises a flag for me. Heck of a job tracking where he lived. Showing up at midnight....priceless :D

I'm not so sure that showing up at a strangers house for a confrontation at midnight is the best move. Just don't know what sort of mindset anyone has. Especially if they were okay with swindling you. Good that it it all turned out all right

Does that mean I can ask $20K for mine:)

You can ask for whatever you like, not likely to get it, likely to be ridiculed, but welcome to ask!:hillbilly:
